Research Assistant

TJ Kennedy (he/him) serves as a Research Assistant for the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention (Action Alliance), housed at the Education Development Center. The Action Alliance coordinates a comprehensive national suicide response in the U.S. and works with more than 250 partner organizations to coordinate implementation of the National Strategy for Suicide Prevention. 
 

As a Research Assistant, Kennedy is responsible for managing and supporting various Action Alliance initiatives. His key projects include formative research the 988 suicide hotline’s messaging efforts, the national implementation of care transitions in healthcare, and the development of a plan/recommendations to create a sustainable 988 workforce. His work generally includes project management, goal identification, literature reviews, report writing, general consulting and administration. 
 

Prior to the Action Alliance, Kennedy was a student who worked part time as a teaching assistant and as a research assistant. He holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from Brigham Young University and a master’s degree in Economy and Society from the London School of Economics.
