Noopur Agarwal
Noopur Agarwal is an Emmy, Peabody and Webby Award-winning media executive who has been driving narrative and culture change, alongside business outcomes, for nearly 20 years. As Vice President of Social Impact for SHOWTIME/MTV Entertainment Studios at Paramount Global, she has been instrumental in shaping the organization’s impact strategy, with a specific focus on the issues most relevant to youth. In this role, she founded and now leads the content integration practice which supports creatives in enriching storytelling to boost audience engagement and drive positive impact.
Noopur’s team works in collaboration with creatives throughout the production process, providing a range of impact-focused services including immersive learning programs, hands-on content advising, talent support, marketing, comms and social media amplification – all with the goal of advancing inclusive storytelling and elevating the resonance and visibility of Paramount’s content. Noopur also helms pioneering industry leadership initiatives and helped build an unprecedented coalition of top entertainment companies and leading experts to expand mental health representation. Together, they developed groundbreaking storytelling resources and research, positioning the entertainment industry as a key force in the mental health movement.
Throughout her time at Paramount, Noopur has also led multi-platform campaigns on a wide range of issues, including LGBTQ rights, gender equality, racial bias, cyberbullying, civic engagement, climate change, gun violence, human trafficking and HIV/AIDS. Her work has been recognized with the MTV Innovation Award, a company-wide honor celebrating fresh thinking and pioneering approaches.
As a leader in media and social impact, Noopur has been invited to speak at The White House, MSNBC’s Morning Joe, the Cannes Film Festival, the UN, CES, SXSW and Ad Week. She was also tapped to host an MTV speaker series where she interviewed high-profile trailblazers, including celebrity chef, Jamie Oliver, renowned playwright, Eve Ensler and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, Nick Kristof. In addition, Noopur is a founding Board Member of The Impact Guild, a non-profit that connects leaders across the media landscape to catalyze social impact.
Prior to joining Paramount, Noopur was a consultant at Bain & Company, a global strategy consulting firm, where she advised senior management in a variety of industries including healthcare, financial services and consumer products. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics from Harvard College.
