Nana Owusu
Nana Owusu currently serves as the Partnership Manager for the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention. In this role, she is responsible for driving organizational success through effective management of partnership engagement strategy. Utilizing her expertise in project management, she oversees the development and maintenance of partnership procedures, key engagement initiatives, and workflow processes, ensuring seamless continuity, particularly within the Executive Committee and other key task force/advisory group operations.
Nana brings six years of experience in operations project management, having worked in various capacities including strategic planning, workflow optimization, and project coordination. She previously served as the Action Alliance Partnership Operations Project Coordinator where she streamlined engagement and outreach coordination with Action Alliance partnerships, utilizing her experience in operations project management to optimize proactive processes and structures geared toward advancing suicide prevention.
Before joining EDC, Owusu served as the Social Media and Content Strategy Manager at The Afropole – an online forum that celebrates, highlights, and connects African and Afrodiasporic entrepreneurship, art and culture to the world. Owusu also worked as a Program Operations Coordinator and Student Liaison at the English Language School Educational Services Inc. She provided operational coordination in several capacities including but not limited to new and existing projects, workshops, and events: spearheading and organizing events such as the annual Eckerd College Festival of Cultures and Global Cultural Showcase as innovative solutions to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion on campus, leading strategic trainings, workshops, and onboarding for all new international students and recruits, as well as offering continuous guidance and mentoring.
Always a knowledge enthusiast, Owusu holds a BA in International Relations & Global Affairs, Political Science, and Spanish from Eckerd College. She is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) by the Project Management Institute. Additionally, she has certifications in Strategic Management (Copenhagen Business School), International Women’s Health and Human Rights (Stanford University), and Social Media Marketing (HubSpot Academy).
