Kana Enomoto
Kana Enomoto, Partner at McKinsey & Company and Director of Brain Health for the McKinsey Health Institute in Washington, D.C., is an internationally recognized expert in mental health, substance use, brain health, and the brain economy. As a leader of the Behavioral Health Center of Excellence, within McKinsey’s healthcare practice, Kana advises the full gamut of public and private sector healthcare stakeholders on reducing the burden of mental, neurological, and substance use disorders in the US and in global markets. As Director of Brain Health for MHI, she leads collaborations and research on topics such as the brain economy transition, the role of AI in health care, sustainable financing, improved care pathways, and brain health in the workplace. Prior to joining McKinsey, Kana was a member of the US Senior Executive Service, where she advised the White House, the Secretary of Health, and the Surgeon General while leading the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. In these roles, Kana provided executive direction and policy leadership for public mental health and substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery services. Committed to advancing brain health in the US and beyond, she serves on the boards of Mental Health America, The NIATx Foundation, and the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention.
