Sport
With its influence and reach, the sport industry has the unique ability to address many issues surrounding mental health and suicide prevention in communities across the country.
In 2018, the Action Alliance formed a partnership with Beyond Sport, a global organization that promotes, supports and celebrates the use of sport to drive sustainable social change in communities around the world, to bring together leaders in sport, mental health, and suicide prevention. This partnership led to the inaugural Stay in the Game Forum, attended by more than 100 senior leaders in sport, mental health, and suicide prevention in an effort to explore opportunities to work together to address this critical public health issue.
Stay in the Game Network
In 2019, the Action Alliance joined founding members Beyond Sport, Centerstone, the Citrone 33 Foundation, and USA Cycling to launch the Stay in the Game Network, a membership-based network aimed at driving year-round collaboration between national mental health and suicide prevention experts and leaders in the U.S. sport industry.
