Action Alliance's 15th Anniversary

The National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention launched on World Suicide Prevention Day (September 10), 2010. As we recognize our 15th Anniversary on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, we look back at the progress we’ve made as the nation’s public-private partnership for suicide prevention and a steward of the National Strategy for Suicide Prevention. 

Thank you to all of our partners – and especially those who are currently or who have previously worked with us on our Executive Committee, Steering Committee, Advisory Groups, Task Forces, and Work Groups and more – for all we have accomplished together over the past 15 years. We have made great strides, but we know this work is needed now more than ever.

Recognizing 15 years of progress advancing suicide prevention efforts, this timeline shows the work of the Action Alliance partnership in driving sustained change across the field through the work of public and private sector partners.
